November Ipsy Glam Bag

I know it may not be the place but before I move on to the unimportant material things I wanted to stop and recognize the atrocities that occurred in Paris last night. What world are we living in today that humans can act this way towards other humans? But we are stronger than them, as long as we band together. This fight can't be won if we are fighting in solitude. It has become more than personal and it's time for us all to stand up together. Now to show my mega nerd side and quote Harry Potter "The pain we all feel at this dreadful loss reminds me, reminds us, that while we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one."

Now moving on to the Ipsy Glam Bag I received this month. Once again I was waiting in anticipation for my bag to arrive in that adorable pink packaging! My roommate messaged me I had a package and I immediately asked "IS IT PINK?!" Here are the items in my Glam Bag for the month of November

'Me' Peptide Infused Lacquer by DERMELECT
Love love love the color and hear the description it sounds amaze: The ‘Cure’ in your ‘Mani’ is at your fingertips with the 1st peptide-infused color treatment for fragile, weak nails. Aptly named ME, Dermelect Cosmeceuticals formulated a 2-in-1 range of beautiful shades coupled with a remarkable manicure extending formula. Even though I usually stick to darker colors for the winter months I think this one will be on heavy rotation.

Go Away Gloom Day Serum by LeeAnni Eco
First of all the name is adorable. Skin things always make me a bit hesitant only because I don't know how my skin will react and it takes me so long to get it back to normal if it does get irritated. But I mean listen to this description: This serum is the perfect fix for a gloomy skin day. It helps soothe and hydrate tired and irritated skin with aloe and rosehip oil. It also contains honey and vitamin E for anti-aging and moisturizing effects.

Full Exposure Mascara by Smashbox Cosmetics
So cute and tiny, great for the travels I will have to endure over the coming holiday season (barf). As soon as I put it on my lashes looked gorgeous. The brush is a little large so you really have to have a steady hand. For me, most mascara's are the same. I don't really see the need to justify buying expensive ones when drugstores do it just as well if not better.

Skinny and Long Eye Pencil by J. Cat Beauty
Is it too much to ask for a good eyeliner! I feel at war with pencil eyeliners at the moment. Everyone I buy seems to be completely useless and unfortunately I would add this one to the list. Horrible pigment, and it is so hard to get a color it hurts the lid to put it on.

Mini Matte Lip Crayon by tre'StiQue
Honestly Ipsy is def winning my heart with their lipsticks. This is just as great as the last one, although the color is very similar. It has great pigment and I would definitely consider buying more.

Here is a shot of the Glam Bag! Love the design it is so stellar. (Very Zenon-esque)

Thanks for stopping by and say a quick prayer for the family and friends affected by the attacks. Much love always xoxo Sam

October IPSY Glam Bag!

Last month a few friends and I heard about Ipsy and decided we just HAD to try it out! If you haven't heard about it, it's basically a monthly subscription for a "glam bag" and a few nicer end samples. When you sign up they give you a quiz that determines the type of products that will be put in your bag. For instance, if you say you enjoy skin care they will send some facial cleaning products.
It felt like I was waiting for months...and months...and months... for this thing to arrive because I had missed the September glam bag sign up by a few days.
They really build up the release as well where you are basically left staring out the peephole of your front door waiting for the mailman to deliver the shiny pink package!

These were all the items I received in my Glam Bag this month! The first one is a type of facial scrub, the second is a pink-tinted lip gloss, the third is a really cute pink makeup brush, the fourth is a bronzy eyeshadow, and the last is a hand cream!
I'm not sure if I'm necessarily gaga over the choices but I will stay on for a few more months and see if they ramp it up or not.
Still need to test them all out as well! Lots of love! xoxo
